Katie Rowen
Katie Rowen is an Associate with Ursel Phillips Fellows Hopkinson LLP. Her practice focuses on the representation of trade unions, associations and employees, with a particular emphasis on clients in the education, policing and industrial sectors. Katie advocates for her clients before boards of arbitration, human rights tribunals, professional disciplinary bodies and in the courts. In addition, Katie provides comprehensive and strategic advice to clients on a range of matters, including organizing, certification and collective bargaining. Katie regularly provides continuing legal education to both clients and other lawyers on a variety of legal issues.
Katie joined the firm in 2007, after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School, and articling at another Toronto union-side labour law firm.
Katie is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and is an Executive Committee Member of the Woman's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF). |
